Watch the deadly first 5 minutes of the ‘Silo’ season 2 premiere (exclusive)

It’s time to go back inside Silo.

Apple TV+’s dystopian thriller returns for season 2 on Friday, Nov. 15, but you don’t have to wait until then to find out what happens to Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) after she finally ventured outside her home silo only to discover the existence of other silos close by. We’ve got the beginning of the premiere for you to watch right… now.

Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive first look at the harrowing and deadly first five minutes of the season 2 premiere — but don’t worry, it’s not deadly for our favorite tough engineer. It’s much, much worse for the inhabitants of another silo that Juliette encounters. “We’re going to see a rebellion going very wrong,” showrunner Graham Yost previously told EW.

As you can see in the footage (above), the premiere begins many years before Juliette uncovered the vast conspiracy surrounding her home, instead tracking the bloody uprising of a neighboring silo. Just like Juliette and her friends did, the workers in this new silo figured out they were being lied to by management. War broke out, and the premiere picks up right before the pivotal final battle. A child races to deliver an important message from engineering to his father, the leader of the rebels, and then the fighting begins.

Gunfire takes out many of the rebels, and the sheer number of casualties is disturbing. But ultimately, the rebels win. Their reward? Finally opening the door and going outside. However, unlike Juliette, they aren’t prepared for what awaits them. Juliette finds the remains of their skeletons leading her to the front door of their silo.

As for what happens next? “Juliette will follow the trail of bodies that will lead her into a dead silo,” Yost said. “Juliette has a very difficult time getting into this other silo, and she’s looking for safety ’cause her suit is running out of air. The wondrous tape that Walker [Harriet Walter] arranged for her to have her suit wrapped in, that’s going to fail. A lot of the episode is about Juliette just trying to survive and the engineering stuff she has to do to try to stay alive.”

If anyone can figure it out, it’s Juliette. “Juliette tries to stay alive in an empty silo and starts to figure out the mystery behind it,” Yost teased. “At some point she gets a sense she might not be alone. Then at the very end of the episode there’s a twist.”
