What could be almost as controversial as dashing your newspaper’s endorsement of Kamala Harris at the last minute? How about supporting Katy Perry at a time like this? Yet it seems like Jeff Bezos has no problem jamming to “Woman’s World,” even if he does have a problem ushering in said world by endorsing a woman for president. As the Washington Post dealt with owner Bezos pulling its presidential endorsement last week, Bezos was celebrating Perry’s 40th birthday in Venice, Semafor reported. As to why Bezos was at Perry’s birthday party in the first place, his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, is good friends with her. (We know Perry loves a billionaire.) Perry’s birthday was October 25, the same day the Post confirmed it wouldn’t make a presidential endorsement. Perry, for her part, has endorsed Harris, but we all know which pop star the vice-president really wanted to be campaigning with.
