It seems Hailee Steinfeld has hit the bullseye with Cupid’s arrow.

The actress known for playing Marvel archer Kate Bishop in Hawkeye and The Marvels is engaged to be married to NFL star quarterback Josh Allen. The happy couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post Friday, featuring a photo of Allen embracing Steinfeld while down on one knee.

The two are perched in front of a trellis covered with roses in the snapshot, surrounded by more flowers and candles all laid out against a stunning oceanside vista.

The simple caption calls out the date of their engagement, Nov. 22, 2024, bookended by infinity symbols.

Allen, 28, and Steinfeld, 27, have been romantically linked since May 2023. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE that the two have been “head over heels from the start,” and that their families are “thrilled” about the engagement news.

Many of the couple’s famous friends jumped into the comments section to share congratulations, including tennis star Serena Williams, who wrote, “Omg I love you,” and actor Chad Michael Murray, who wrote, “Congrats brother!”

Allen has been a quarterback with the Buffalo Bills since 2018, in which time he’s led the team to five playoff appearances and four consecutive division titles. This season the Bills look poised for another playoff run, and most recently Allen helped the Bills unseat the then-undefeated Kansas City Chiefs (a team that boasts another NFL player with a famous girlfriend, Travis Kelce).

Steinfeld first rose to fame when she was just 13, starring opposite Jeff Bridges in the Coen Brothers’ remake of True Grit. She has gone on to distinguish herself in projects including the coming-of-age dramedy Edge of Seventeen; the irreverent Apple TV+ series Dickinson, in which she played the title role; and the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated films, in which she voices Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman.
