With Reneé Rapp’s vengeance against Buddy, the tour bus operator, and Chappell Roan’s revenge against mean photographers, the pop girlie lesbians are not playing around. At the premiere of Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts tour film, Roan confronted a photographer who was allegedly not very kind to the singer at another event. “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys after party. You yelled at me at the Grammy party,” Roan scolded as she looked the photographer dead in the eyes. “Yes, I remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that. You need to apologize to me.” It’s not clear from the video if the photographer apologized before someone pulled Roan back to finish out the photos.
As Roan’s fame goes, she’s been setting harder boundaries about how she wants to be treated by photographers and fans alike. Good for her. Earlier this year at the VMAs, Roan shot back at a seemingly different photographer yelling at her on the red carpet. “This is quite overwhelming and quite scary,” she said later on about the interaction. “I think for someone who gets a lot of anxiety around people yelling at you, the carpet is horrifying. And I yelled back. You don’t get to yell at me like that!” She also asked fans to leave her alone in public spaces as she’s had increased “stalker” behavior and safety issues. People should listen to the singer; it’s very clear she does not forget a face, especially if you’ve been disrespectful to her.
