Chris Pratt gave an update on his family’s experience in the Los Angeles-area wildfires.

“All right, I’m going to go check out my house,” the Guardians of the Galaxy star said in a video post on social media. “Miraculously, it’s still standing. By the grace of God, we have four walls and a roof.”

He said he was going to survey the town, which he hadn’t returned to since the Palisades Fire erupted on Jan. 7. The blaze that has ripped through the Pacific Palisades and Malibu, burning more than 23,000 acres, was still only 70 percent contained, as of late Wednesday.

“I haven’t been back since the Palisades fires,” he said. “It’s truly devastating, as you know. Silver lining is my house was saved but, at the same time, so many people’s houses were burned around us and the community’s gone.”

He explained that, “My son’s school is gone. My son’s mom’s house burned down.”

His 12-year-old son Jack’s mother is actress Anna Faris. Pratt and the Just Friends star were married from 2009 to 2017 and the two co-parent Jack. Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, whom he married in 2019, have three children: Lyla, Eloise, and Ford.

“Dozens of our friends lost their homes,” Pratt continued. “It’s just wild. And we’re resilient. We trust in God. And consider it all a blessing.”

He thanked his followers for all their prayers and support.

“It’s been inspiring to see how our communities come together,” he said.

The Jurassic World actor promised to give more updates, now that he’s returning to life.

Over the past two weeks, multiple celebrities have spoken out about how the fires affected them, including Joshua Jackson, Paris Hilton, James Woods, Jennifer Garner, Jamie Lee Curtis, Billy Crystal, Mark Hamill, Mandy Moore, Mel Gibson, Melissa Rivers, Cameron Mathison, Spencer Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag.
