How much time do we think they’ll spend talking about their shared taste in actors? Denis Villeneuve (Dune: Part Two) and Luca Guadagnino (Challengers, Queer) will be sitting down together for a Directors on Directors chat this year. So at least if they run out of other things to talk about, they can always fight over who should get custody of Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, and (most recently) Austin Butler. Variety announced the full lineup for its annual series on December 13. The other 2024 director pairings are Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine) and Jon M. Chu (Wicked), Zoë Kravitz (Blink Twice) and Matt Reeves (The Batman), Sean Baker (Anora) and Brady Corbet (The Brutalist), and Pedro Almodóvar (The Room Next Door) and Halina Reijn (Babygirl).
