Gabrielle Union shares nude photo on her birthday: ‘This is grown woman s—‘
Gabrielle Union celebrated her 52nd birthday in her birthday suit!
The Bring It On actress shared a nude photo Tuesday on Instagram in honor of the special occasion, which she said marked a new chapter of feeling confident in her own skin.
“This is 52. This is grown woman s—. This is being accountable for mess ups. Being gracious when others mess up. Being open to being wrong and being proud and confident when you are right,” she wrote in the caption for the post, which also included an interview clip and other images from a birthday vacation.
She added that she’s “loving passionately and unapologetically” as she enters a new phase of life, which includes “clear and firm boundaries” for herself.

“This is sexy. This is audacious. This is fun and full of wild adventures. This is calling a thing a thing and not falling for the Okey Doke and demanding better,” she added. “This is being alone without being lonely. This is enjoying nature. This is fierce and compassionate motherhood. This is fighting for my people and yours. This is me at 52. Loving ALL of me.”
Other celebrities commented on the post wishing Union well on her special day, including Ciara, Mindy Kaling, Boris Kodjoe, Olivia Munn, Sanaa Lathan, Tina Knowles, and Taraji P. Henson.
“Happy birthday you gorgeous woman inside and out,” Kaling wrote, while Henson commented that the post was “beautiful.”

Elsewhere, Union honored her birthday by sharing Instagram Story posts with her family, including a shot of herself and her husband, Dwayne Wade, as well as their 5-year-old daughter, Kaavia, posing with a cake that read, “Happy Birthday Gab!” while attendees sang to her.
Wade also wished his spouse well, writing “Happy Birthday, Mrs. Wade!” in a video he posted of the pair on his own Instagram profile.
