TOYOTA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA

The 35th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is the second race of the 2009 IndyCar Series and the debut of IndyCar on the streets of Long Beach. The 3G / Interush Racing Team car will be driven by Stanton Barrett in his second-ever IndyCar race.
The streets of downtown Long Beach are once again being transformed into this exciting 1.97 mile track (3.17 km) with 11 turns and viewing grandstands set around the 100-lap race course. The weekend event is once again expected to attract about 180,000 spectators in attendance making it one of the largest paid spectator special events in the USA. In addition, Sunday’s IndyCar race will be broadcast live to millions of race fans in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Then ESPN International and will re-broadcast throughout Europe, and also in Japan on Gaora Space Network and Nippon Television.
The featured race is Sunday afternoon’s IndyCar Series event, which features an international field of world-class drivers expected to include: Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon, Danica Patrick and Graham Rahal, Dario Franchitti, Marco Andretti and 2008 Long Beach winner Will Power.
Other races prior to the IndyCar Main Event include:
- Toyota Pro/Celebrity features stars from the sports and entertainment worlds battling professional drivers in identically prepared Scion tCs.
- Firestone Indy Lights: Young drivers tackle the Long Beach race circuit in this exciting preview of open-wheel racing’s future stars.
- American Le Mans Series: Features the most technically advanced sports cars in competition.
- Long Beach Team Drift Challenge: Formula Drift, the hottest new form of motorsports, returns to the Long Beach streets with drivers sliding sideways through the tight turns.
- SPEED World Challenge GT: Race-prepared sports cars like Audi, Cadillac, Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Viper, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini, Nissan 350Z, Porsche and Subaru.
There will also be music concerts all weekend long for the race fans, the international media, plus the drivers and crews to enjoy.
All together, it is going to be a spectacular weekend event, and INTERUSH will be one of the stars of this exciting International show!
