Roger Yasukawa
INTERUSH RACING INDY CAR DRIVER

Roger Yasukawa is a Japanese-American auto racing driver who has quickly moved up to racing Indy Cars in both the USA and Japan. His parents were from Tokyo, Japan and he was born in Los Angeles, California on October 10, 1977. Growing up in Los Angeles, Roger aspired to participate in the world of open wheel racing, and driving in the IndyCar Series was something he could only dream about.
Working his way up from go-kart racing in California then to Milan, Italy, he advanced to the training grounds of the Skip Barber Series and the Toyota Atlantic Series. Roger developed his physical skills and mental focus and graduated to the IndyCar Series in 2003 where he finished as ‘runner-up’ for the ‘Rookie of the Year’ Award.
Roger currently resides with his wife Izumi and son Leica in Los Angeles, California. He is very active all year as a test driver and also contributes articles on auto racing to the media in Japan. He is fluent in three languages: English, Italian and Japanese.
When not commuting between Los Angeles, Indianapolis and Japan, Roger enjoys coaching drivers in the Skip Barber Series and Ferrari Challenge and playing golf.
